Design Master General Components

When Design Master is installed on a network, the Design Master General Components file must also be installed once on each computer that runs one of our CAD-based add-ins.

This file adds some controls necessary for our dialog boxes to work and the database drivers for 64-bit operating systems.

What is Included

The following are the specific files installed:

Slide.ocx: An ActiveX DLL for displaying slide images in a dialog box. This component was written by Autodesk and provided to 3rd-party developers.
Jet64.exe: A 32-bit ActiveX executable used to connect to the Microsoft Jet Database from 64-bit AutoCAD. This component was written by Design Master Software.

Checking Your License Usage

You can visit the SoftwareKey customer license portal to see how the Design Master licenses at your company are being used.

Design Master Command Aliases

You can create command aliases for Design Master commands the same way as any other command, by editing the .pgp file.

Unknown Command Error

If your commands don’t work and return an “Unknown command” error, you may need to repair or reinstall AutoCAD.

Restoring a Database From a Backup

If your database has become unusable, you can restore an earlier version using the backups Design Master creates.
