Removing Duct Labels

To erase a ductwork size label from the drawing, use the Remove Label command.

Ribbon: DM HVAC->Ducts-> Remove Label

Pulldown Menu: DM HVAC->2D Drafting->Remove Label

Select the label. This will remove the label from the drawing. It will also prevent the label from being reinserted when you redraw the double-line ductwork.

If you use the standard ERASE command to remove the label, it will be reinserted the next time you redraw the double-line ductwork.

Working Remotely With Design Master

Here are a few ways you can continue using Design Master collaboratively on projects while working remotely.

Loop in Ductwork Error

Design Master HVAC cannot calculate the CFM for ductwork loops. You can solve this by running the Coordinate Drawings and Database command if you have no loops on the drawing, removing the loop, or modeling the loop differently.

Duct-Mounted Diffusers

Design Master HVAC does not have a command specifically for inserting or connecting duct-mounted diffusers and grilles. However, you can approximate them by inserting the diffuser close to the duct to which it is mounted.

Stacked Fractions in CAD Labels

You can use in-line formatting to display some Design Master values as stacked fractions when they appear on the drawing.

DM Entities Insert Skewed or in the Wrong Location

If your Design Master entities come in skewed or in a different location than the one you specified, try resetting your drawing view to “Top” and reinserting.

Ductwork Double Lines Are Overextended

If double lines are being drawn past where the duct centerline ends, you may need to straighten some of your ducts.
