Show Rooms on Lighting and Power Plans

Friday, May 2nd, 2014

Q: I have two identical floor plans, one for lighting and one for power. I inserted all my rooms on one of the floor plans. How do I insert them on the other?

A: Use the Insert Room Outlines on this Drawing command.

Ribbon: DM Electrical->Buildings and Rooms-> dm_elec-roomInsertOutlines Insert Room Outlines on this Drawing

Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical->Building Definition->Insert Room Outlines on this Drawing

If both floor plans are on the same drawing, use the Insert Alignment Point command to insert a second alignment point and draw a box around the second floor plan.

Ribbon: DM Electrical->Alignment Points-> dm_dm-apoint-insert Insert Alignment Point

Pulldown Menu: DM Electrical->Alignment Points->Insert Alignment Point
