Installing Design Master Silently and Other Command Line Arguments

Thursday, May 25th, 2023

Q: I’m responsible for installing and updating Design Master on all of the machines at my company. Is there a way to set everything up from the command line without user input?

A: All of the Design Master installers include a set of command line arguments you can use.

To run the installation wizard with default settings in the background, but still show a progress window, use the /silent argument. You can use /verysilent to hide the progress window as well. Error messages will be displayed as normal.

The full list of command line arguments is available here.

NOTE: While the installer can be run from the command line, commands within the software cannot. Functions such as entering the license ID and activation password must be performed manually.
