10th Anniversary!

This month marks the 10th anniversary of Design Master Software. It was in March, 2001 that we placed our first ad in the ASHRAE Journal. We sold our first license in June, 2001. Our software has come a long way in the last 10 years. Thank you to all of our customers who have helped make our software as successful as it is today. There is still a lot left for us to do--we are looking forward to sharing the next 10 years with you!

Customer Story: DeLuca-Hoffman Associates, Inc.

Our customer story for March 2011 is DeLuca-Hoffman Associates, Inc.

All the principals here are very satisfied with the Design Master software, and we all feel it was a good decision to start doing lighting design ourselves. We can provide our clients with higher quality, more informative plans while responding quickly to changes so all phases of the project stay on track.

Customization Poll: Multiple Arrowheads on a Combined Homerun?

Over the last 10 years, one truth we have discovered about the MEP industry is that there is no standard when it comes to drafting standards. To get a sense of how varied drawings can appear, you only need to take a look at the number of settings you can change in our "Options" dialogs. We often wonder--how common (or uncommon) are some of these graphics that we add to our software? Starting this month, we endeavor to find out.

In the Electrical Feature of the Month, we mentioned the ability to insert multiple arrowheads on a combined homerun. Take this quick 1-question poll and let us know what the standard is at your company. We will publish the results in next month's newsletter.

Editor's Note: The results of this poll can be viewed here.
