Twenty years ago this month, in March of 2001, Design Master Software made itself known to the world through a print ad in the ASHRAE Journal's Classifieds section. We made our first sale the following June.
Much has changed about the software, and the company, since then. None of it would have been possible without the help of every Design Master user who purchased the software, offered feedback, submitted bug reports, spread the word to other professionals, or advocated for the software's use at a company. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Design Master Electrical RT 2.0 is currently in beta. The major new features in this release are one-line riser diagrams in Revit and time-current curves for breakers.
Reply to this email if you are interested in trying out the new features.
Since opening his one-person consulting firm in early 2020, Nick Vrettos, P.E., has primarily done electrical work but sometimes performs mechanical design for smaller jobs such as retail and office upfits. His previous company had purchased Design Master Electrical in 2005, and he remembered how valuable it was: “It’s really good software. It cuts the production time, just the sheer drafting, easily in half. … When I went off on my own, one of the first things I did was call you guys up and get a license.”
A regular online training webinar is available every month for Design Master Electrical RT for Revit.
Electrical for Revit training is the 2nd Thursday of the month at 1:30pm Eastern.
